Absolutely agree! The science is starting to back this, too. Current policies are based on limited and questionable studies, essentially an overprotective stance aimed to protect kids from the unknown.

The technology isn’t going anywhere. It’s better to teach kids self-awareness and self-control, and not turn “screentime” into a prize or something that needs to be fought for. My kids have friends that are restricted, and all those kids want to do is play on the tablet or PS4. It’s like they have no desire to do anything else when it’s an option. Mine will play, get tired of it, and find something else to do.
