This is one of the very few pieces of writing advice that has been worth my time.

I was going to say that you’ve managed to become a successful writer without playing the game as everyone else does (or so it seems), but I realized I don’t know if you’re a successful writer except that you have a large following. You’re not writing “how to” crap or “look at my stats” articles, and I respect that. I actually look forward to reading your work instead of wondering why the same drivel is being shoved in my face.
